Consumer prices grew by 0.86% in January 2024
MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. The Bank of Russia still registers high growth rates of prices on a wide range of goods and services, the regulator reported.
“Despite a slowdown compared with autumn months, price growth rates remain high on a wide range of goods and services. In January indicators of the stable element of monthly price growth overall were close to December figures. High domestic demand, which has slightly declined but still continues surpassing the possibilities of supply expansion, is the main proinflation factor,” the report said.
Consumer prices grew by 0.86% in January 2024 (by 0.73% in December). Seasonally adjusted annualized monthly price growth slightly sped up – to 6.7% (6.3% in December).
