The Palestinian resistance factions respond to the Israeli occupation’s crime against prisoner Sheikh Khader Adnan, which led to his martyrdom behind bars.
The Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip has launched several salvoes of rockets toward the Israeli settlements and military sites, with the Israeli occupation’s Iron Dome attempting to intercept them, an Al Mayadeen correspondent reported on Tuesday.
The correspondent added that early warning systems were heard in the settlements, with salvoes of rockets getting fired from the Gaza Strip as part of the resistance’s response to the assassination of Palestinian Islamic Jihad official Khader Adnan.
Al Mayadeen‘s correspondent also reported that Israeli warplanes targeted a resistance site West of Gaza City, while also bombing the vicinity of a government site northwest of Gaza City.
The Israeli occupation air force launched raids on a resistance site West of Khan Yunis, South of the Gaza Strip.
The resistance utilized its air defenses to intercept the raiding Israeli aircraft in the northern Gaza Strip, an Al Mayadeen correspondent reported, noting that the SAMs went off as salvoes of rockets were launched from the Gaza envelope toward the settlements of the Gaza envelope.
“The EASs are sounding in Sderot and the rest of the settlements of the Gaza envelope,” Al Mayadeen‘s correspondent to occupied Al-Quds reported.
The Supreme National Emergency Committee of the Palestinian Captive Movement called on all national and Islamic forces and factions to meet immediately in the wake of the martyrdom of Sheikh Adnan in order to create a unified and responsible position that calls for holding an inclusive national conference to achieve Palestinian national unity that represents all Palestinians to develop and discuss what guarantees an end to the suffering and pain of thousands of prisoners.
Hamas politburo chief called martyr Khader Adnan’s wife and offered his condolences for her husbands’ martyrdom, stressing that all the Palestinian people stood united behind him.
“The school of thought of martyr Adnan, first set in the confrontation with the Israeli occupation in the streets of the homeland, needed nothing but to be concluded by his blessed martyrdom, and he will remain a key figure in the memory of generations to come in the path toward liberation.”
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) announced on Tuesday the martyrdom of one of its senior members, Khader Adnan, inside Israeli occupation prisons.
“In our long march towards Al-Quds, we will lose many brave men, leaders, and fighters along the way, and Commander Khader Adnan was one of those who paved a wide path for all those who seek freedom in Palestine and the world,” the PIJ said in a statement.
Khader Adnan’s martyrdom, who had been on hunger strike for nearly three months in protest of his unfair detention, comes two days after the Israeli military court in Ofer Prison refused to issue his release despite several warnings that his health condition was deteriorating.
It is noteworthy that this open-ended hunger strike, which Adnan staged until his death is the longest he has ever waged over the past years of his detention. The martyr had already been through five previous hunger strikes.
The occupation forces arrested Khader Adnan on February 5, after raiding his house in the town of Arraba, south of Jenin.
Adnan had been arrested a total of 12 times throughout his life and spent a total of 8 years in occupation detention centers, most of which were under administrative detention.
