Today, Wednesday, the first meeting of Russian and Iranian companies in the oil and gas sector was held in Tehran. Russia and Iran have common strategic interests in bilateral issues.
Referring to the delicate situation of cooperation between Russia and Iran, Iran’s Deputy Oil Minister for International and Trade Affairs, Ahmad Asadzadeh, said that great projects have been identified between state companies in Russia and Iran.
Assadzadeh noted that Iran continues to produce advanced equipment despite the sanctions imposed on it, stressing that Iran has succeeded in achieving self-sufficiency in producing catalysts and even exporting them to Russia.
For his part, the Russian commercial representative in Iran, Rustam Jikan Jin, considered the bilateral meeting of Iranian and Russian companies as a major step to develop economic and trade relations in the oil and gas sector, and that the leaders of the two countries are fully prepared to expand cooperation in this field.
In this context, the Tehran Chamber of Commerce announced the participation of 28 Russian companies in the 27th oil, gas and petrochemical exhibition, which will be held from May 17 to May 20 at the permanent headquarters of international exhibitions in Tehran.
