King of Jordan to Meet Trump in Washington on February 11
The official Jordanian news agency announced on Sunday that King Abdullah II of Jordan will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on February 11.
Late in January, Trump had a telephone conversation with King Abdullah, during which the Jordanian monarch congratulated him on his presidential inauguration. According to a statement from the U.S. administration, Trump thanked the King for their “long friendship” and discussed issues related to maintaining peace, security, and regional stability.
The White House expects that the leaders will continue to communicate on these matters in the coming period.
From his side, King Abdullah expressed a keen interest in strengthening the robust relationship and enhancing the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, as well as expanding cooperation opportunities across various fields, according to the Jordanian news agency at the time.
This meeting underscores the ongoing commitment of both nations to collaborate on critical issues affecting the Middle East, emphasizing peace, security, and mutual strategic interests.
