Mohammed bin Salman and Ahmed Al-Shara Discuss Ways to Support Stability in Syria
On Sunday, in Riyadh, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara convened to discuss the latest developments in Syria and strategies for supporting its stability.
During the meeting, they explored avenues to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries across various fields. They also reviewed regional situation updates and the efforts exerted in this regard, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Saudi Crown Prince congratulated President Al-Shara on assuming the presidency of Syria, wishing him success and wisdom in fulfilling the aspirations and ambitions of the Syrian people.
Earlier on Sunday, President Al-Shara arrived in Saudi Arabia for his first foreign visit since assuming power in Damascus following the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
The Syrian Presidency had announced that President Al-Shara, accompanied by Foreign Minister Assad Al-Shaaban, was heading to Saudi Arabia for this inaugural official visit, sharing a photo of them aboard the airplane en route to the Kingdom.
This meeting marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to re-establish and bolster ties between Syria and Saudi Arabia, aiming for a stable and prosperous future for the Syrian populace amidst challenging regional dynamics.
