Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed in a telephone call on Friday the recent serious regional escalations caused by extreme Israeli policies and the Sudanese crisis with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan.
According to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdelatty highlighted in his call with the Saudi counterpart the importance of halting the current escalations and stressed the necessity for major international powers, especially the United States, to fulfil their responsibilities in this issue.
The call also covered the sincere efforts done by Egypt and Saudi Arabia to resolve the Sudanese crisis and stop the ongoing conflict there, aiming at preserving the unity and sovereignty of Sudan by working together to cease fire and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.
During the call, FM Abdelatty affirmed his commitment to ongoing mutual coordination and consultation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia to address regional and international challenges.
For his part, FM Faisal bin Farhan expressed his aspiration to continue strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and maintain cooperation to enhance coordination and consultation on regional issues and challenges and ensure the security and stability of the region.
