The technical meeting for the African Super Cup match between Al Ahly and Zamalek, scheduled for Friday, concluded with agreements on the teams’ kits.
Al Ahly will wear their traditional red jersey paired with white shorts, while the goalkeeper will don a light green outfit. On the other hand, Zamalek will step onto the pitch in their alternate kit, featuring an all-black jersey and shorts, with their goalkeeper dressed in yellow and black.
During the meeting, all organizational aspects of the match were finalized, including the teams’ arrival times at Kingdom Arena. It was also confirmed that if the match ends in a draw during regular time, it will proceed directly to a penalty shootout to determine the winner.
Representing Al Ahly at the technical meeting were Sami Komsan, the assistant coach and acting football director, alongside Samir Adly, the administrative director, Alaa Salah, the security coordinator, and team administrators Maher Abdel Aziz and Mohamed Osama.
Zamalek was represented by Abdel Wahed El Sayed, the team’s football director, Mohamed Osama, the head of the medical staff, Amr Abu Al-Az, the administrative director, public relations officer Basem Zyadah, team administrator Abdullah Hussein, and equipment manager Mostafa Hussein Mela.
The match will take place at the newly renovated Kingdom Arena, with a seating capacity of 95% and 25,000 fans expected to attend.
Al Ahly enters the match as the reigning CAF Champions League champions, while Zamalek is the CAF Confederation Cup titleholder. The last edition of the African Super Cup was held in Saudi Arabia, where USM Alger defeated Al Ahly 1-0.
Al Ahly holds the record for the most African Super Cup titles with 8 victories, followed by Zamalek with 4 titles. Al Ahly has lost the Super Cup three times, while Zamalek has only lost it once.
