Massive protests were held today in many capitals and cities around the globe against the backdrop of the ongoing war waged by Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip, demanding an immediate cessation of the bloodbath and the entry of much needed aid into the besieged enclave.
In the French capital, Paris, demonstrators called for an immediate halt to the Israeli genocide in Gaza and for Israel to be held accountable for the carnage it is committing against the Palestinian people.
Protesters denounced what they described as Western governments’ complicity in the Israeli war crimes and their obstruction of any effort to hold it accountable for genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity against the Palestinian people.
They raised slogans emphasizing the necessity of liberating the occupied territories, establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, and holding those involved in crimes against the Palestinian people accountable.
In the German capital, Berlin, a demonstration was held demanding an immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza and the delivery of aid to the war-ridden region.
Ten other German cities witnessed protests calling for an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the cessation of German government support for Israel, as well as the prevention of German arms exports to the Israeli occupation army.
In the Swedish capital, Stockholm, a protest was organized in condemnation of the Western governments’ complicity in the Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people. The cities of Uppsala and Gothenburg also witnessed massive demonstrations in support of Palestine and Gaza.
Protesters held up pictures of children victimized by the Israeli aggression on Gaza, calling for an end to the war and accountability for the occupation’s crimes, as well as the urgent and sufficient provision of aid to those affected in the Gaza Strip.
In the Danish capital, Copenhagen, supporters of Palestine rallied to condemn the genocidal crimes committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip and denounced the ongoing Israeli aggression on the region.
In Kolding, Denmark, protests called for holding Israel accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people, with demonstrators raising Palestinian flags and banners calling for an immediate cessation of the war and the provision of aid to the afflicted in Gaza.
In Italy, protesters staged a massive sit-in in the city of Milan demanding an immediate halt to the genocide in Gaza.
In the Norwegian capital, Oslo, hundreds demonstrated to demand an immediate end to the Israeli war on Gaza.
Also, near the Israeli embassy in the South Korean capital, Seoul, a protest was held calling for an end to the firing in the Gaza Strip. Demonstrators raised slogans condemning the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and chanted slogans against the international stance and the continuation of massacres.
Additionally, a number of Tunisians demonstrated on Habib Bourguiba Street in the capital Tunis, in solidarity with the Palestinian people and in condemnation of the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation.
Participants raised slogans calling for lifting the Israeli blockade, ending the aggression, and demanded the enactment of a law to criminalize all forms of normalization with Israel.
Since October 7th of last year, Israel has been waging a destructive war on the Gaza Strip with backing from the US administration, leaving tens of thousands of Palestinian civilian casualties, mostly children and women, and causing a humanitarian catastrophe and massive infrastructure destruction.
