The Israeli occupation’s decision to restrict flights near Lebanon’s border comes after the entity received a historic multi-front attack last week.
The Israeli occupation military extended flight restrictions near the Lebanese border for 24 hours until Monday after it was supposed to end Sunday noon, Israeli media reported earlier today.
According to measures placed by the IOF, airspace up to 6km away from the Lebanese border was off-limits to civilian aircraft as the occupation entity feared the inability to respond quickly in case of any threat from Southern Lebanon or Syria.
Israeli Kan news channel indicated that “the pesticide spraying planes were given the option to fly in the area at a low altitude only,” pointing out that “similar restrictions that were imposed on the borders of Syria and Gaza have ended” but remained on the Lebanese border.
In a related context, Channel 13 reported that the widespread deployment of the Iron Dome system will continue until after the day of Nakba anniversary on April 25-26.
In attempts to prevent attacks by the Axis of Resistance, the Israeli army deployed earlier this week Iron Dome batteries across the entity, especially in northern occupied Palestine next to the Lebanese and Syrian southern borders. The IOF also boosted the number of troops to the north over fears of rocket launches from Lebanon and Syria.
The pressure on the Netanyahu government and the Israeli occupation security and military establishments increased after the escalation of Palestinian Resistance operations against the occupation in occupied Al-Quds, the West Bank, and the ’48 occupied territories.
Former Israeli occupation security advisor Yaakov Amidror on Thursday considered that war with Iran is increasingly probable, pointing out that “Israel” needs to prepare an attack without the help of the United States.
According to the former Israeli advisor, “Iran is more sure of itself. It has managed to sign a number of agreements with Arab states. The world is starting to look different.”
“We need to prepare for war. It’s possible that we will reach a point where we have to attack Iran even without American assistance,” he added.
“America is not the same America in terms of its presence, and the Iranians see that. The US has much greater problems than the Middle East. The world looks at Israel differently.”
