Japan’s Asahi newspaper has reported that G7 foreign ministers are expected to mention the necessity of a humanitarian pause in Israel’s war on Gaza in their joint statement on Wednesday at the end of a two-day meeting in Tokyo, Reuters news agency reports.
The statement will present the G7’s “united stance” on the Middle East situation, Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said.
