President Mahmoud Abbas received today at the presidential headquarters in the city of Ramallah, the Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs TSUJI Kiyoto.
The President briefed him on the latest developments regarding the ongoing brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
The President also highlighted all the possible efforts made to immediately stop the war of genocide against the Palestinian people, stressing the need to accelerate the delivery of medical and humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, so that the shelter centers and Hospitals can do their part in providing what is necessary to alleviate the suffering of citizens, especially in the current difficult weather conditions.
He strongly condemned the forced displacement of Palestinians, whether in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, stressing that Gaza is an integral part of the Palestinian state, and it is not possible to accept or deal with the plans of the occupation authorities to separate the Gaza Strip from the rest of the land.
The President stressed that the Israeli occupation authorities must halt their ongoing practices and attacks against the Palestinian people in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the crimes of terrorist settlers, and stop seizing Palestinian “clearance” funds.
The President praised the Japan’s position in support of the ceasefire and respect for the rules of international law. He also thanked Japan for its continued support for the political solution based on the two-state solution based on international legitimacy, as well as for the humanitarian and development assistance and institution-building it provides.
