Acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani has declared Operation al-Aqsa Flood a significant turning point in Palestinian history, asserting that it has left the Israeli occupation with no choice but to either surrender to or confront the resistance.
Speaking at the international conference entitled “Oppressed and Resistant Gaza” held in Tehran, Bagheri Kani emphasized that the Israeli occupation’s decision to confront the Resistance has only worsened its situation.
The acting foreign minister highlighted that “Israel” had failed to garner global support, with many countries severing diplomatic ties with the occupation. “The occupation has become the most hated entity for most people around the world and is currently in a very miserable state,” he said.
He also referred to the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1 and the subsequent Iranian response, stressing that the occupation’s lack of deterrence was evident. “If the Israelis had an ounce of sense, they would not have attacked the consulate,” he said, noting that Operation True Promise demonstrated the Israeli occupation’s limited deterrent power.
Bagheri Kani urged the United States to recognize that the Israeli occupation had no option but to accept the Resistance, affirming Iran’s continued support for the Palestinian cause. He pointed out that this support has extended beyond Iran, marking a significant achievement for the Palestinian resistance.
“The Resistance is not only a mechanism to confront occupation and attacks but has become a method of regional governance,” Bagheri Kani adde
Iranian Parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, echoed Bagheri Kani’s sentiments, emphasizing that the new Palestinian generation had thwarted “Israel’s” hopes of erasing Palestine and defeating the Resistance.
Speaking at the same event, Ghalibaf attributed the Israeli occupation’s brutality to its existential fears, stating, “Israelis know more than anyone else that the wave of resistance, centered around Palestine, will uproot their entity sooner or later.”
The international pro-Palestine conference began on Saturday in Tehran, attended by local and international figures, highlighting the ongoing support for Palestinian resistance and the increasing isolation of the Israeli occupation on the world stage.
‘Israel’ downfall echoed from within
Israeli Reserve Major General Itzhak Brik said that unless the Israeli government ends the war, then the battle will turn into a war of attrition that will last for years, led by Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in the North, and eventually lead to the collapse of “Israel”.
In an article in Haaretz, Brik explained that unless the war ends, “Israel” will lose its captives and the economy will collapse, and so will its reserve army as it will no longer be able to bear the burden without troops rotation. Moreover, the devastated settlements on the southern and northern borders will not be rehabilitated, and the 100,000 evacuated settlers will plunge into destitute poor.
He pointed out that “Israel” will be further isolated across the world, and the severity of the economic and cultural boycotts and military embargo, which “Israel” is already witnessing, will only intensify as a result of the decisions by The Hague Court.
Moreover, “Israel”, according to Brik, will be excluded from international projects and events, and the feelings of hatred for it will go through the roof.
The Israeli major general also pointed out that whoever can settle abroad, especially specialists in the field of technology and medicine, will do so and flee “Israel” en masse, adding that “the rift that exists in today’s divided society will only expand further as the situation deteriorates.”
“Clashes between its various categories will disintegrate Israeli society from within,” Brik maintained.
He stressed that there is a reasonable likelihood for the outbreak of a multi-front regional war, which would further accelerate the end of “Israel”
