Manchester United returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over a depleted Southampton side, snapping a two-game losing streak in the opening match of the Premier League’s fourth round on Saturday.
The “Red Devils” secured their goals through Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt (35′), Marcus Rashford (41′), and Argentine substitute Alejandro Garnacho (90+6′).
With this win, Manchester United moved up to six points, placing them seventh in the standings, while Southampton suffered their fourth consecutive defeat, remaining in 19th place with zero points.
The match started with Southampton showing dominance, especially through young winger Tyler Dibling, who had the first significant chance with a shot saved by United goalkeeper Andre Onana in the 7th minute.
