Real Madrid has announced a “temporary rescheduling” of all upcoming concerts at its Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, following directives from the local municipality aimed at combating noise pollution, the club stated in a Friday release.
The stadium had recently resumed hosting concerts this year, including performances by Taylor Swift and Karol G, after undergoing a major renovation that included the installation of a retractable roof and pitch.
However, local residents have complained that the stadium lacks adequate soundproofing and that the new powerful speakers do not comply with Madrid’s municipal regulations. In response, Real Madrid stated, “The club has decided to temporarily reschedule events and concerts at Santiago Bernabéu.”
The statement continued, “This decision is part of a series of measures the club is taking to ensure strict adherence to municipal regulations during musical events.”
Spanish artists Delafuente and Aitana were scheduled to perform at the stadium in November and December of this year, with Lullaby Indigo planned for March 2025. However, the club has indicated that new dates will be announced soon.
The concert scheduled for October 12, featuring major names in K-pop such as “Boy Next Door” and “Enhypen,” has been permanently canceled.
According to Spanish network TVE, a total of 240,000 tickets had been sold for all these events.
