Israeli settlers burned approximately 20 cars during an early morning attack on Al-Bireh and Deir Dibwan, two areas in the occupied West Bank, on Monday.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), several settlers entered the industrial zone in Al-Bireh, setting vehicles ablaze before retreating. Local reports indicate that some of the vehicles belonged to Palestinian Authority officials, while others were linked to a Jordanian medical delegation.
WAFA added that fire engines arrived promptly to extinguish the flames consuming the 20 vehicles. The settlers reportedly fired shots into the air and at emergency response vehicles as firefighters approached, before fleeing the scene.
In Deir Dibwan, located east of Ramallah, settlers also torched a vehicle and reportedly painted racist slogans on a nearby wall.
Following the incident, the Israeli Army Radio announced that authorities have launched an investigation into the attack.
