Calls for the International Court to Use “Interpol” for Arresting “Netanyahu” and “Gallant”
Following the issuance of arrest warrants by the International Criminal Court against the Israeli
Prime Minister “Benjamin Netanyahu” and his former Defense Minister “Yoav Gallant,” the Arab
Organization for Human Rights in the UK has welcomed the decision.
They considered it a first step towards eradicating the culture of impunity that political leaders
and military commanders in the occupation government have enjoyed for decades, thanks to
unlimited support from the United States and other countries.
They also called upon the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to request the
International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), under Article 4 of the agreement signed
with the Office of the Prosecutor in 2004, to issue Red Notices for the wanted individuals.
Under these notices, 195 member countries of Interpol are obliged to arrest the wanted individuals if they enter their territories.
Furthermore, the organization pointed out that one of the key issues to be dealt with is the
ongoing settlement expansion in all occupied territories, which now threatens Palestinian
existence, especially after the extremist Finance Minister of the occupation “Bezalel Smotrich”
declared his intention to annex the West Bank.
The organization urged all countries that have supported the occupation, including members of
the International Criminal Court, throughout more than a year of genocide in Gaza, to cease this
support in all its forms and to dedicate their efforts to stopping the genocidal war through
practical and decisive actions.
