On the announcement that Israel has called up 300,00 reservists, Wilhelm Marx, reporting from West Jerusalem, adds that it is clear that the government is trying to recruit as many people as possible for a potential ground invasion.
“Many people here in Israel served in the military as part of their national service during their late teens and early 20s. Those called up remain in that reserve corps to serve in what may be a very significant conflict in the days ahead,” he said.
