Around 6:30pm on Saturday (20:30 GMT), a communications blackout was imposed on the entire Gaza Strip and about 2.3 million people lost contact even with each other. This was similar to the earlier blackouts.
For half an hour, we were able to watch some of the images on Al Jazeera Arabic and witnessed the intense campaign of air strikes across the strip, destroying entire neighbourhoods.
Right now, every place in Gaza is a legitimate target for Israeli air strikes. Anyone who has tried to evacuate from northern Gaza to the south has found themselves to be targets.
This confirms that nowhere is safe in Gaza. Israeli claims that there are safe corridors for evacuation are baseless.
