The Autonomous Administration announces the loss and injury of more than 20 people due to Turkish shelling.
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria announced on Wednesday the loss and injury of over 20 civilians due to Turkish airstrikes targeting a convoy near the Tishrin Dam in Aleppo’s countryside.
This afternoon, field sources reported to North Press that “while a convoy from the city of Kobani
was heading towards Tishrin Dam to demand the cessation of bombardment on this vital service
facility, Turkey launched an aerial attack on the convoy.”
In its statement, the Autonomous Administration declared that “Turkish aircraft targeted a
civilian convoy that was moving in solidarity with the Syrian Democratic Forces and to protect
Tishrin Dam.”
The statement further elaborated that “the convoy was subjected to intense bombing, resulting in
the loss of three civilians and injuries to 19 others with varying degrees of severity.”

The Turkish bombardment was described as “a criminal act and a blatant violation of
international humanitarian law, constituting a war crime targeting innocent civilians.”
The Autonomous Administration condemned the Turkish targeting and bombardment,
considering it an attempt by Turkey “to break the will and resistance of the people.”
The statement called on the international community and the international coalition to fulfill
their humanitarian and moral responsibilities by taking urgent measures to stop the Turkish
escalation and repeated bombing in North and East Syria, ensuring the protection of civilians and
infrastructure.
