Turkish Security Detains 46 in Operations Against ISIS
Ankara, February 04 – According to the Turkish news agency “Anadolu,” Turkish security forces have detained 46 individuals today in operations targeting members of the terrorist organization ISIS.
These arrests took place as part of ongoing investigations led by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, targeting suspects linked to the group across four provinces, including Istanbul. The search continues for one more suspect.
It’s noteworthy that ISIS has previously claimed responsibility for several operations in Turkey over the years, leading to hundreds of deaths and injuries. The most recent significant attack was in 2017 when the group targeted a restaurant in Istanbul, resulting in the death of 39 people and injuring 79 others.
