The young Palestinian was pronounced a martyr shortly after arriving at a hospital in Afula.
An Israeli occupation settler murdered a Palestinian youth on Saturday in Al-Nasirah, a city located within the 1948 occupied territories.
Local sources said that the settler shot and killed 20-year-old Palestinian Diyar Omari at the entrance of the “Gan Ner” settlement.
Martyr Omari, who is from the town of Sandala, was declared dead due on arrival shortly after arriving at HaEmek Medical Center in Afula.
Later, Sandala witnessed a demonstration to protest the martyrdom of the young Palestinian.
The Hamas movement mourned Omari in a statement and stressed that the “heroic [Palestinian] people will not let the crimes of the occupation and its settlers go without a response, and will escalate their Resistance in response to the crimes of the occupation and avenge the blood of martyr Omari and all the heroes of our people.”
“The enemy will pay a heavy price,” the movement continued, calling on “our steadfast people in the occupied Palestinian interior to confront the occupation and the arrogance of its settlers, and to avenge the blood of Martyr Omari and the righteous martyrs.”
With Omari’s Martyrdom, the number of Palestinians killed at the hands of Israeli occupation forces and illegal settlers rose to 111 since the beginning of 2023, including 20 children and two women.
Early Saturday, Palestine’s WAFA agency reported that two Palestinian youths were killed by Israeli occupation forces during a raid on Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm, in the occupied West Bank.
In a brief statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the two martyrs as Samer Salah Shafiee, 22, who was shot in the neck, chest, and stomach, and Hamza Jamil Kharyoush, 22, shot in the chest, stomach, and his left leg.
