The foreign minister of Iran said the US government is masterminding political plots for the post-war era in the Gaza Strip in order to make up for the Zionist regime’s failure to defeat the Palestinian resistance groups.
Hossein Amirabdollahian held talks with his Tunisian counterpart Nabil Ammar on the sidelines of the World Refugee Forum meeting in Geneva on Tuesday.
Stressing the need for Islamic nations to decisively support Palestine against the ongoing war crimes and brutal attacks by the Zionist regime in Gaza and the West Bank, Amirabdollahian highlighted the blow to the dignity of the Zionist regime on October 7 and its failure to achieve significant outcomes despite committing brutal war crimes against Palestinian citizens in the past two months.
“They (Israelis) lack the capability to dismantle the resistance groups or subdue the Palestinian nation. Currently, America is devising post-war political strategies to compensate for the Zionist regime’s defeat, a matter Islamic nations should be mindful of,” he added.
Lauding Tunisia’s wise stance on Palestine, Amirabdollahian emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran’s enduring and influential support for Palestine.
He also expressed satisfaction with Iran and Tunisia’s strong relations, highlighting their high-level political ties.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Amirabdollahian called for the expansion of relations between Iran and Tunisia in various fields, including economic, commercial, scientific, and technological sectors.
For his part, Ammar emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to elevate relations to a higher level.
He also called for more effective steps toward enhancing ties, particularly in economic and commercial spheres, aligning with their political relations.
Hailing Iran for its unwavering support for Palestine, the Tunisian foreign minister said, “In Tunisia, we ardently support the cause of Palestine, firmly believing that killing the Palestinian nation won’t lead to any gains.”
At least 18,412 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
