On Wednesday morning, the Israeli military confirmed the deaths of four soldiers, including a medic, during clashes in Rafah, southern Gaza, on Tuesday. Six additional soldiers were wounded in the fighting.
Among the fallen were three soldiers from the Givati Brigade and a female medic from the Armored Corps. According to The Times of Israel, the medic, Agam Naim, became the first female soldier to be killed during Israel’s ongoing ground offensive in Gaza.
This tragic incident brings the total number of Israeli military casualties since the start of the ground operations to 348. The attack also left a senior officer and two other soldiers critically injured, while two more sustained moderate injuries.
In a separate incident on the same day, a reconnaissance officer was severely wounded by an RPG attack in Rafah, the military reported.
This increasing toll highlights the intensity of the ongoing conflict between Israeli forces and militant groups in Gaza.
