Iran announced that it will resume flights after a brief suspension due to an Israeli airstrike targeting several military sites within the country. A spokesperson from Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization told IRNA (Iran’s official news agency) that flights “will return to normal on Saturday at 9 a.m. local time,” which corresponds to 05:30 GMT.
According to the Tasnim news agency, Jafar Yazarloo, the Civil Aviation Organization spokesperson, emphasized that passengers should stay informed by checking with airlines and paying close attention to communications from their carriers. Earlier, he had announced a temporary suspension of all flights across Iran.
