Turkish-Saudi Military Cooperation in Defense Industries
Turkish companies specializing in defense industries have signed agreements to participate in projects set to be implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This milestone was achieved on the sidelines of the International Defence Exhibition “IDEX 2025” and the Naval Defence Exhibition “NAVDEX 2025,” held in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.
The events, taking place from February 17 to 21, 2025, feature the participation of 90 Turkish companies under the supervision of the Turkish Presidency’s Defense Industries Authority. These exhibitions serve as a platform for fostering international partnerships and showcasing cutting-edge defense technologies.
According to the Anadolu Agency, small and medium-sized enterprises from Turkey’s OSTIM Defense
and Aerospace Cluster have forged strategic partnerships with two leading Saudi defense companies:
“Rai Manufacturing Services” and “Esna.” These collaborations mark a significant step in Turkish-Saudi
defense cooperation, strengthening ties between the two nations in the military sector.
The signing of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) took place during the Abu Dhabi exhibition,
attended by senior executives from the involved companies and Haluk Görgün, President of the Turkish
Defense Industries Authority. The agreements highlight a shared commitment to advancing defense
manufacturing capabilities.
