According to Israeli channel 13, Raisi will hold a series of meetings with President of Syria Bashar Al-Assad during a two-day visit to Damascus next week.
Israeli media reported on Saturday that the upcoming visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Syria should be a cause of worry for “Israel.”
Israeli Channel 13 pointed out that the Iranian President will apparently arrive in Syria on Wednesday to hold a series of meetings with President Bashar Al-Assad during a two-day visit. According to Channel 13, the worrying part for the occupation is that Iran wants to unify the axis of resistance- Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad in order to change geopolitics in the Middle East.
The Israeli channel also touched on the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian to Lebanon and his visit to Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
Sayyed Nasrallah and Amir-Abdollahian discussed the latest regional developments, especially the Iranian-Saudi agreement and its repercussions on countries of the region, as well as the latest developments in Lebanon and occupied Palestine.
During a press conference at the Iranian embassy in Lebanon, Iranian FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said his country has prioritized openness and communication with the regional states in general, and neighboring states in particular.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also touched on the relations between Tehran and Damascus, stressing that they are “excellent, deep, and strategic”, welcoming the strengthening of relations between Syria, the Arab world, and regional states.
The top diplomat stressed that President Al-Assad, the government, the army, and the people stood against the terrorist war and eventually won, stressing that the military advisors of the Islamic Republic helped Syria confront the terrorist war waged against it.
Amir-Abdollahian also met with the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Ziyad Al-Nakhala regarding coordinating resistance efforts against “Israel.”
Channel 13 also said that Israeli media followed the Iranian FM’s visit to Lebanon closely and with concern, while many Israeli circles studied the implications of the visit in regards to strategic shifts in the region, particularly when taking into consideration the tough times “Israel” is going through.
