The Palestinian Resistance factions warn the Israeli occupation against the continued violations of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Resistance will always be upheld in Palestine until the occupation is expelled and Palestine is liberated, returning to its Arab and Islamic environment, the Palestinian Resistance factions in the Gaza Strip said on Tuesday.
According to the Resistance factions, the unity of the Palestinian people when it comes to the resistance and their rights and principles is a necessity. “Our people’s unity on the Resistance is a key prerequisite for achieving victory,” the statement added.
Furthermore, the Resistance underlined the importance of the unity of the battlefields against the Israeli occupation, lauding the Al-Quds Brigades and the Joint Operations Room of the Palestinian Resistance factions in Gaza, which it said confused the occupation and stressed the unity of the various walks of life of the Palestinian Resistance.
The Palestinian Resistance factions also lauded the Palestinian heroes and the revolutionary fighters for their confrontation of the occupation through their operations, calling on them to increase the frequency of their operations “as this occupation is only deterred with force.”
The daily raids of Al-Aqsa Mosque carried out by the Israeli settlers under the protection of the police and the Israeli occupation forces are a severe violation of the mosque’s holiness, the statement further said.
The extremist occupation government meeting in one of the tunnels under the Al-Buraq Wall will not give it legitimacy, as Al-Aqsa Mosque will remain a purely Islamic holy site, and all of the occupation’s efforts to divide it will be met with failure, it added.
“The occupation bears full responsibility for the repercussions of its continued violation of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and its provocations against our Palestinian people and Islamic Ummah. Our people will not allow for this to go on or for a change in the status quo to take place no matter the cost.”
Finally, the Palestinian Resistance factions called on the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank, occupied Al-Quds, and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 to go to Al-Aqsa Mosque and station themselves there to defend it and thwart the Israeli occupation’s colonial plans.
Groups of Israeli occupation settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Thursday ahead of the provocative Flag March scheduled for that day.
The storming came at a time when the occupation forces tightened their measures in Al-Quds in preparations for the Flag March, and prevented Palestinians from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform the morning prayers. The storming was led by Israeli Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
It is worth noting that this was the second time that Ben-Gvir stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque since January, an action which was considered by Jordan, Egypt, and the Arab League a provocation.
Following Ben-Gvir’s incursion into the holy site, more groups of Israeli settlers were allowed into the compound and stayed there for some time, where they performed rituals under police protection.
“Israel’s” closest ally, the United States, condemned Ben-Gvir’s storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds.
Calling the outright desecration and storming a “visit”, US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said Washington was concerned by Ben-Gvir’s “provocative visit” to the Mosque and “the accompanying inflammatory rhetoric.”
“This holy space should not be used for political purposes, and we call on all parties to respect its sanctity,” Miller indicated.
The Spokesperson reaffirmed what he called the “longstanding US position in support of the historic status quo” at Al-Quds holy sites and underlined “Jordan’s special role as custodian of Muslim holy sites” in the city.
