The official results of Wednesday’s Azerbaijani elections revealed the win of President Ilham Aliyev for a fifth term, an expected outcome following Azerbaijan winning the Nagorno-Karabakh region after its yearslong disputes with Armenia last year. “The Azerbaijani people have elected Ilham Aliyev as the country’s president,” Central Election Commission chief Mazahir Panahov announced during a presser. At least 11 Palestinians were arrested by the Israeli occupation forces last night and this morning in the occupied West Bank provinces of Ramallah and Tulkarm, according to local sources. In Ramallah province, in the central West Bank, Israeli troops stormed the villages and towns of Al-Mughayir, Deir Nidham, and Sinjil, where at least seven Palestinians were arrested.
