Türkiye has become the largest importer of Russian energy in the Western Hemisphere after European countries halted most Russian oil and natural gas imports, Reuters reported this week.

Russia has been added to Germany’s list of “non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes,” according to an announcement published in the Bundesanzeiger (Federal Gazette) earlier this week.

The total trading turnover of the benchmark index was SR5.24 billion ($1.39 billion) as 63 of the listed stocks advanced, while 154 retreated.
