The settler was shot by a passing vehicle on a highway near the settlement of “Hermesh”, as per Israeli media.
Israeli media reported that a shooting operation near the illegal Israeli settlement of “Hermesh” in the northern occupied West Bank resulted in the death of one Israeli settler.
In further detail, Israeli media added that the settler was shot by a passing vehicle on a highway near the settlement of “Hermesh”.
Simultaneously, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) issued a statement that says that the Israeli troops launched a manhunt for the person in question.
Since the beginning of the year, “Israel” escalated its terror against Palestinians, with its occupation forces carrying out brutal raids, arrests, and killing on a daily basis, and at least 112 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank — most of them women and children.
Earlier today, Israeli occupation forces stormed Nablus and the Nur Shams refugee camp in the occupied West Bank amid heavy confrontations with Palestinian Resistance fighters.
The Israeli occupation’s storming of Palestinian cities at the crack of dawn is commonplace as part of its systemic policy of terrorizing the Palestinian people.
The occupation forces fired tear gas grenades and rubber bullets at the Palestinians during the raids, which resulted in 39 injuries, as per the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
The IOF also shelled a residential house during the raid on Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm and arrested several Palestinians.
IOF systematic raids: A life trauma
A couple of days ago, The Washington Post published an investigative report highlighting the brutality of Israeli forces in targeting Palestinian civilians, especially children.
The newspaper report underlined the fact that Israeli raids have long been a fixture of life for Palestinians living under occupation; typically, they would be carried out swiftly at night and end in detainment.
IOF systematic raids peaked under the current government of Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. By mid-May, 108 Palestinians, including 19 children, were murdered by the IOF in the West Bank and Al-Quds, the newspaper reported citing UN reports.
Most notable in the report was an attached video graphic recreation of an IOF raid on Jenin in mid-March, which led to the death of four Palestinians, including a 14-year-old child.
The Washington Post quoted several experts as saying the Israeli storming of Jenin was a violation of the international ban on extrajudicial killings and that the violation is exacerbated by the fact that those the occupation claimed were armed posed no threat to the IOF. One notable aspect is the fact that the Israeli occupation carried out the killings in the camp amid a heavy presence of civilians.
