Thirteen Palestinians were killed, and several others injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas in the Gaza Strip on Monday.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces targeted a house in Block 3 of the Al-Bureij refugee camp, located in central Gaza, resulting in the deaths of nine individuals and leaving 25 others with varying degrees of injury.
Rescue and recovery operations are still underway as efforts continue to retrieve victims trapped under the rubble.
WAFA also reported that three people were killed and others injured in an Israeli strike that hit tents housing displaced persons on Al-Sikka Street in the Al-Bureij camp.
In another related incident, a woman was killed and others wounded in a strike that targeted a mosque in the Khirbat Al-Adas area, north of Rafah in southern Gaza, according to the news agency.
As the conflict enters its second year, close to 42,000 Palestinians have been killed, and slightly fewer than 100,000 injured, most of whom are women and children.
