The Head of the Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh issued a formal accusation against “Israel” in a letter addressed to United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, saying that “Israeli atrocities amount to war crimes.”
According to the military wing of Hamas, over the last 24 hours, nine captives have lost their lives as a result of Israeli airstrikes in Gaza. This information was reported on Saturday.
These include five Israelis and four foreigners, Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement, noting that they had been killed by Israeli “strikes on locations where the prisoners were held”, without elaborating.
The most recent fatalities increased the total death toll to 22 out of the approximately 150 hostages, including Israelis, foreigners, and individuals with dual nationality, who were taken captive by Hamas fighters on October 7.
