A field hospital has entered the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing for the first time since the war began, according to a Palestinian official.
Mohammed Zaqout, director-general of hospitals in Gaza, said the Jordanian hospital will be established in the southern city of Khan Younis.
He described conditions at hospitals in the south as “catastrophic”, saying hundreds of wounded people were being admitted daily due to the “continued aggressive aerial and artillery strikes”.
