The interest of the business community in investing in the Moscow region and Russia in 2023 and 2024 remains high, Sergey Cheryomin noted
BANGKOK, March 29. /TASS/. The trade turnover between Moscow exporters and Thailand at the end of last year amounted to almost $800 million, Minister of the Moscow government, Head of the Department of External Economic and International Relations of the city Sergey Cheryomin told TASS following his visit to Bangkok.
“If you look at the statistics on foreign economic relations between Moscow residents and Thailand, then last year the volume of export-import transactions amounted to just under $800 million. We are observing a stable increase in trade turnover,” he said.
The interest of the business community in investing in the Moscow region and Russia in 2023 and 2024 remains high, Cheryomin noted, citing the results of conferences with the participation of representatives of the business community. He noted that active cooperation is hampered by the political situation and anti-Russian sanctions.
“But despite this, companies are finding ways to expand cooperation,” Cheryomin concluded.
Earlier Russian ambassador to Thailand, Evgeny Tomikhin said that trade turnover between Russia and Thailand in 2023 amounted to approximately $1.5 billion.
