The WHO has issued its latest warning about the increasingly deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, this time saying there were only “24 hours of water, electricity and fuel left” in the enclave before “a real catastrophe” sets in. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, the UN health agency’s regional director for the Eastern Mediterranean, said the bombarded, besieged territory must be allowed to receive the convoys of aid that are currently stuck at the Rafah border crossing with Egypt. Eleven Palestinian journalists have been killed by the Israeli military and more than 20 others have been injured since October 7, the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has said. In a statement, the syndicate said that two journalists are still missing – Nidal al-Wahidi, who works as a producer with al-Najah TV, and Haitham Abdel Wahed from the Ain Media Media Agency. The syndicate said that approximately 50 offices of media organisations have been damaged or destroyed in Israeli air strikes.
