Being accused to have connections with the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, the Israeli court sentenced Palestinian Yasmin Jaber to 30 months in prison. The indictment alleges that Jaber communicated with Hezbollah officials, during a visit she made to Lebanon and Turkey in 2015 and 2018. The indictment also claimed that Jaber continued to communicate with the Hezbollah officials using social media networks. The Taliban has seized a key district in Kandahar province after pushing Afghan troops out of the area, adding to a growing list of victories against government forces amid the US military’s exit from the country.
