At least 19 Palestinians, including small children, have been killed in the latest Israeli airstrikes on the southern city of Rafah, as the regime continues its brutal war against the besieged Gaza Strip.

Far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has reiterated his call for “encouraging” Palestinians to leave the Gaza Strip, saying the regime’s occupation of the besieged enclave is the only way to restore security to Israel.  

Iran has called on members of the Non-Aligned Movement to renew their solidarity with the Palestinian nation, as the Israeli regime’s onslaught on Gaza continues to claim innocent Palestinian lives in the besieged coastal territory.

Israeli occupation forces have destroyed the main buildings of the Al-Israa University, located south of Gaza City. The targeted structures housed graduate and undergraduate colleges, as well as a national museum. In a press statement, Al-Israa University said that the assault extended beyond the main building to include the national museum, which contained over three thousand rare archaeological artifacts. The occupying forces looted these valuable assets before destroying the museum. Iran and Turkey’s foreign ministers agree that the fight against terrorism is a common responsibility for all countries in the region. Doctor Riyad Qishta of Abu Youssef Al Najjar Hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, has told Al Jazeera the disease has spread among children, adults and the elderly for the first time. the Doctor said it was the result of overcrowding, a lack of hygiene, consumption of non-potable water, disruption in sewage networks, and the spread of wastewater. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan issued a call to “stop the genocide” in the Gaza Strip. “It is absolutely unacceptable for Israel to justify its attacks [on Gaza] for security reasons,” he said. Speaking at a news conference with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi in Amman, Hakan also said the Palestinians have the right to establish an independent state.
