A retired Israeli major general has praised the Palestinian resistance for “demonstrating its ability” to replace its killed commanders with men equally capable and devoted.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian says Hamas has informed the Islamic Republic that it has sufficient capabilities to continue the confrontation with Israel in the besieged Gaza Strip for months.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), in cooperation with the Egyptian Red Crescent, is working to establish the first organised camp for displaced Palestinians in Khan Younis. In the first stage, the camp will set up 300 tents that will house the displaced families of medical, ambulance and relief staff of the Red Crescent. Speaking in a meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati has called for an end to the Israeli aggression against Gaza and southern Lebanon. The US Treasury says in a statement that it has sanctioned the head of the Currency Exchangers Association Houthi in Sanaa, Yemen, and three exchange houses in Yemen and Turkey. The entities are “responsible for facilitating the flow of Iranian financial assistance to Houthi forces and their destabilizing activities,” the Treasury said. “Today’s action underscores our resolve to restrict the illicit flow of funds to the Houthis, who continue to conduct dangerous attacks on international shipping and risk further destabilizing the region,” said Treasury official Brian E Nelson, according to the statement. Osama Hamdan, speaking from Beirut, has detailed the latest attacks in Gaza. He said Beit Lahia, Maghazi, Bureij and Khan Younis have seen the greatest civilian death toll in recent Israeli attacks.
