The US delegation expected to arrive in Israel later today will reiterate the same message that VP Harris delivered to the COP28 summit in Dubai, Al Jazeera’s Alan Fisher says. The Israeli occupation forces today detained at least 60 Palestinians in raids at their homes in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Commission and Prisoner Society, which raises the total detained since October 7 to 3540. They said most of the detentions were carried out in Deheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem where 15 people were detained ranging in age between 19 and 62. The Israeli army has called on residents of certain areas in central Khan Younis, southern Gaza, to evacuate further south. The message, shared on the military’s Arabic account on X, displayed a map showing Gaza split into numbered blocks, with some of these sections highlighted as zones to evacuate. The map has a QR code which civilians are expected to scan to check if their house falls into one of the targeted blocks. A flight carrying 29 wounded Palestinians has landed at Tunisia’s Carthage Pilgrim’s airport, according to Tunisia’s TAP news agency. They are among at least 389 wounded Palestinians who have been able to leave Gaza through the Rafah crossing since November 1 as Gaza’s besieged hospitals have largely collapsed while caring for countless injured and sick patients.
