The northwestern Al-Khalil town of Beit Ummar bid farewell to martyred 13-year-old boy Mohamad Alami on Thursday, who was martyred after the occupation forces shot him.
Mohamad Alami passed away at the age of 13. There is information saying he is an only child, and his parents had him after 7 years and many in-vitro fertilization attempts.
To mourn Alami, the Municipality of Beit Ummar announced Thursday a day of mourning and a general strike during which all municipal work will be suspended, except for emergencies.

In an interview for Palestinian media, his father said, “I paid my entire life savings to have him, they stole him from the very insides of my heart.”
“I, too, died – not just Mohamad,” he added.
Additionally, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said, “The occupation forces killing Alami, a child, is a full-fledged war crime. It reaffirms our people’s just demands of trying the occupation leaders in the International Criminal Court.”
The head of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine’s media bureau in the Gaza Strip, Ahmad Khreis, mourned Mohamad Alami. He said, “What happened is a crime that is added onto the occupation’s criminal record against our people and nation, especially our children.”
Al Mayadeen‘s correspondent reported on Wednesday that 13-year-old Mohamad Alami was murdered at the hands of the occupation forces while he was in a car with his father in northern Al-Khalil, West Bank.
