A report issued by the Trade and Development Department of the United Nations revealed the African countries that attract the most foreign direct investment in 2022.
According to the UN report, many African countries, led by Egypt, South Africa and Ethiopia, were able to maintain high flows of foreign direct investment in 2022, although these flows at the international level decreased by 12% in 2022, reaching $ 1.3 trillion.Notes
Report Egypt ranked first on the continent, witnessing a more than doubling increase in foreign direct investment to $11 billion, thanks to an increase in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, with 161 new projects, nearly double the number last year, and the total amount of international project financing agreements increased by two-thirds to reach $24 billion.
