The Israeli occupation artillery Thursday fired several shells in the vicinity of Al Amal Hospital, west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that this caused a shrapnel to fly at the organization’s headquarters and Al Amal Hospital, causing the wires of the aerial communication device, through which all the Society’s various crews work, to be cut off.
This increases the challenges and difficulties facing the crews, especially the ambulance, in light of the interruption, as all means of landline and cellular communications and Internet services, for the thirty-eighth day in Khan Yunis Governorate, the PRCS said.
The Israeli occupation forces continue its siege and targeting of the hospital for the 31st day in a row, in light of the ongoing catastrophic situation.
Al Amal Hospital is directly affected by the artillery shelling, which led to massive damage to its facilities and the number of slain Palestinians.
The hospital is also facing a shortage of fuel reserves needed to generate electricity for patients at high risk, and is facing almost exhaustion of food supplies.
