Early Saturday morning, a rocket strike hit a building in Tira, central Israel, injuring 19 people, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported. Of those injured, three sustained moderate injuries, while eight suffered minor wounds.
The Israeli army announced that rocket sirens sounded in multiple locations across central Israel following several rockets launched from Lebanon. Three rockets crossed into Israeli territory, some of which were intercepted, while one landed in the Tira area, according to early reports from the army.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that Hezbollah now possesses only 20% of its original missile stockpile. Gallant also noted that Iran is increasingly aware of Hezbollah’s reduced response capacity following multiple counterattacks.
The escalation reflects rising regional tensions as both Israel and Lebanon face cross-border threats, with additional attacks posing an ongoing risk to civilians and infrastructure.
