Israeli occupation soldiers shoot and detain a Palestinian woman, alleging that she was going to carry out a stabbing operation.
The Israeli occupation forces on Sunday opened fire on a Palestinian woman near the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Palestine under the pretext that she was bound to execute a stabbing operation.
After being shot, the woman was detained before she was taken to an unknown destination.
The woman who was shot sustained mild injuries in her lower body, local sources supported in the wake of the incident.
Later, the prisoners’ media reported that “the woman who was shot by the occupation forces in Al-Quds is Samira Harbawi,” confirming that “her children were arrested on Sunday evening from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood” following her detention.
“The army opened fire on a Palestinian woman,” Israeli Channel 14 reported, claiming that she had tried to carry out a stabbing operation in “Haim Bar-Lev” Street in occupied Al-Quds. No other injuries were reported.
The Israeli occupation forces often shoot, detain, or kill Palestinians under the guise that they were about to stab Israeli settlers or soldiers, though much is disputed when it comes to these claims.
Just last month, Israeli media claimed that a Palestinian was shot dead over an alleged stabbing operation at the Rantis checkpoint, northwest of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, with nothing found to prove Israeli claims.
The Palestinian succumbed to his wounds and was martyred after he was fatally shot.
