Steven Sahiounie is the chief editor of MidEastDiscourse and is a two-time award-winning journalist living in Syria.
He is a Syrian-American independent freelance journalist having been published internationally, appeared on numerous international TV guest interviews, as well as US and Canadian radio.
He began writing in 2012, publishes in both English and Arabic, and has been a leading reporter on the Syrian conflict.
His signature article is "The Day Before Deraa" which has been translated into a dozen languages.
