US support for child-killing Israeli regime to complicate regional security: Iran’s defense minister
Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani says the recent Palestinian operation in the occupied territories exposed the “fake power” of the child-killing Israeli regime, warning that the US and the West’s support for Tel Aviv has complicated the situation in the region. Ashtiani said Palestinian operations, including Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, rely on the capabilities of resistance fighters and their spirit of resilience after several decades of sanctions and harassment. “As a completely Palestinian operation, Operation Al-Aqsa Storm was successful, had great achievements, and clearly exposed the fake power of the Zionist regime,” he added in a meeting with Turkish…
Iran’s President Ebrahim Raeisi has called on the international community to double down on efforts to bring to halt Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, saying the entire world is concerned about the situation in the small blockaded territory. Speaking in a joint press conference with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon, Raeisi said that “all the conscientious people” are worried over the fate of the poor Palestinians in Gaza. He described Palestine as the priority “issue of Islam as well as an issue of humanity,” and everybody wants an immediate halt to attacks on Gaza and the end of genocide…
Israeli airstrikes kill 24 Palestinians as rescue workers recover 35 bodies from under the rubble
The Israeli warplanes today targeted two houses in the north of the Gaza Strip killing 24 people, as rescue workers were able to recover 35 bodies from under the rubble in Jabalia refugee camp, according to WAFA correspondent. He said that 24 bodies and dozens of injuries, mainly children and women, were brought to the Indonesian Hospital after the Israeli warplanes destroyed two houses in Beit Lahiya in the north of the Gaza Strip. Several others remain under the rubble, he said. In Jabalia, rescue workers recovered 35 bodies from under the rubble of several houses bombed a few days…
Justin Trudeau told reporters this morning that his government is calling for a pause in the fighting in Gaza to allow captives to be released, get foreign nationals out of the territory, and get assistance in. The pause has to be “long enough to start not just get aid in, but getting resources and medication and supports while we begin doing the work of de-escalating the situation”. He said that de-escalation also needs to happen in the occupied West Bank and in the region. Trudeau has faced criticism for his government’s refusal to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.…
Iravani: “Israel’s” decision to impose its laws on occupied Syrian Golan is null and void
Iran considers Syrian Golan to be an inseparable part of Syria, Iranian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN Amir Saeed Iravani, has affirmed. Iravani’s remarks came in a meeting of the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories. “Iran strongly condemns Israeli attacks on Syria, which have led to the martyrdom and injury of Syrian citizens, as well as the destruction of its infrastructure.” Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Iravani as saying. “As stated in the relevant Security Council resolutions, Israel’s decision to impose its…
All roads to al-Quds Hospital closed
The Palestine Red Crescent Society says Israeli bombardment has been ongoing since last night in the vicinity of al-Quds Hospital from the western side. “All roads to the hospital are closed. Medical teams are unable to leave the hospital to reach the injured persons,” it said on X. Source: AlJazeera
ActionAid’s partner Al-Awda Hospital in Gaza yesterday warned that it will completely shut down operations by Wednesday night as fuel stocks near depletion. The hospital has made an urgent plea for the international community to intervene so that it can continue providing care for 60 patients, some of whose lives will be in grave danger when the hospital’s fuel reserves run out. According to health officials, 16 hospitals and 34 health centers across Gaza have already closed operations due to Israeli bombardment and a lack of fuel. Al Awda Hospital, since the beginning of the aggression, has provided its services…
The number of civilians killed in Gaza indicates there is something “clearly wrong” with Israel’s military operation, the UN’s chief says. “There are violations by Hamas when they have human shields. But when one looks at the number of civilians that were killed with the military operations, there is something that is clearly wrong,” Antonio Guterres said. At least 10,569 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza – including 4,324 children – since October 7, the Health Ministry in Gaza said. In Israel, the death toll stands at more than 1,400 since Hamas’s attack. “Every year the highest number…
Israeli occupation forces blew up the family home of a Palestinian child prisoner in the Shuafat Camp in occupied Jerusalem. Earlier this morning, large forces from the occupation army stormed Shuafat Camp, in preparation for demolishing the house of the child prisoner Mohammad Basil Al-Zalbani, whom the occupation accuses of attempting to carry out a stabbing attack at the Shuafat Camp military checkpoint last February. The occupation forces closed the camp and prevented movement there at a time when children and students were going to school, whereas the soldiers attacked and abused children and school students. The occupation forces detained…
Human Rights Watch says an Israeli strike on an ambulance should be investigated as a possible war crime and warned nations against supplying weapons used in unlawful attacks. HRW said it verified video from the scene of at least 21 dead or wounded people – including five children – near the destroyed vehicle on Friday. “The need to safely transport wounded people to hospitals is critical in armed conflicts, so the laws of war provide special protections for ambulances used solely for this purpose,” said HRW’s Lama Fakih Middle East and North Africa director. “Doctors, nurses, and ambulances have to be able…
