Israel’s military targeted the solar panel system of a building in Al Shifa Hospital complex in Gaza, media reports say. Multiple solar panels on the roofs of standing buildings, particularly in Gaza City, have been destroyed in the past few days during Israeli bombardments. The only operative mill in Gaza remains unable to grind wheat due to a lack of electricity and fuel, the World Food Progamme (WFP) says. When bread is available, people queue for long hours in bakeries, where they are exposed to air attacks. At least 11 bakeries have been hit and destroyed since 7 October, according to the WFP. A spokesman for the Gaza health ministry has warned that Israel is “preparing something bad” for Al-Shifa medical complex. Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, director of the children’s hospital at the Kamal Adwan Medical Complex in the northern Gaza Strip, says that the hospital has been receiving at least 30 bodies and about 200 wounded patients daily. He told Al Jazeera that children constitute 70 percent of the victims of the Israeli bombing, including shrapnel wounds and bodies with heads blown off.
