The Egyptian government has submitted a request to the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a subsidiary of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), to increase its annually-obtained credit limit for purchasing wheat by roughly 150% to $500 million, a government official told Asharq Business.

Trade exchange between Egypt and Kuwait fell by 11.8% year on year (YoY) in 2023 to $3 billion, compared to $3.4 billion, according to data by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) declared that it has not issued any directives or instructions concerning levying taxes on capital gains arising from the sale of securities listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) during the past period to date, as per a statement.
